Keith R. Fetterolf D.M.D.
Dr. Keith Fetterolf is a native of Pottsville, PA and a 1991 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. He attended Lycoming College in Williamsport PA to play college basketball and pursue studies in pre-medicine and biology. Dr. Fetterolf graduated in 1995 and entered the work force as a tissue harvester in the organ and tissue donor field for a tissue bank outside of Philadelphia . In 1996, he attended The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. After graduating in 2000 with a strong interest in surgery and having completed multiple oral surgery externships while at Pitt, Dr. Fetterolf completed a hospital-based general practice residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA. This residency program provided a strong surgical emphasis. Upon completion of the residency program at Sacred Heart, Dr. Fetterolf and his wife, Dr. Dana Fetterolf, purchased an existing dental practice in Harrisburg which, ten years in the making, continues to grow and thrive.
Dr. Fetterolf’s main interest lies in the surgical components of dentistry including extraction of teeth, bone and tissue grafting and regeneration, all aspects of surgical and restorative dental implant treatment, and surgical and clinical management of medically compromised patients. In 2007, Dr. Fetterolf became a credentialed member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry as an Associate Fellow. The demanding process involved over three years of intense study and a grueling oral and written examination process conducted by a globally recognized board of examiners. Dr. Fetterolf remains one of only a select few in the central Pennsylvania region who has these specific credentials in the field of implant dentistry. As evidenced via the non-mandatory credentialing process through The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Dr. Fetterolf remains committed to pursuing continuing education and to maintaining the highest level of education in implant dentistry and in dentistry overall.
